The aesthetic solution adopted could be defined as a sort of evolutionary interpretation of some typically local design elements: wood louvers and real tropical plants. The Caribbean typical sunscreen louver has been redesigned like a product for the informational era. A sort of semi-transparent lighting screen, which both produce light and slightly separates different functions, giving sense of privacy, but making, at the same time, the person feels he or she is part of a bigger scenario. The eyes stop against the real natural decorative mixed tropical green elements, or may go further ahead to see.
The paradigm proposed is digital + ecological (but inside a traditional frame). In this way the final space results will be warm, comfortable, well equipped, functional, contemporary but linked to the local traditions and not impersonally minimal.
The atmosphere will be relaxing and the light diffused, warm and colored thanks to the frame-louver partitions and the coordinated ceiling design solutions. This will let the Excel Club Reception Area and the surrounding Public Spaces be an example of excellence for the space quality in the full respect of Functionality, Design and Tradition.
